DOUGLAS INGRAM'S CONSTRUCTION CHALLENGE Mersey River Pool Number 4 2006 - July 23rd. SSBM has now completed over half of its tournament trail. The Douglas Ingram's Construction Challenge is now in the books as it was completed this weekend on the Mersey River (Pool #4). Some very healthy bags of smallmouths were brought to the scales even though weather in the preceding days was poor. This day itself would hold inconsistent weather with a combination of overcast, wind, rain, and sun. It would prove to be a good challenge for the SSBM anglers. The water temperature varied from 71-74F. We will now recap the top 5 teams and their respective weights. Grabbing the fifth place trophy was the team of Rob & Bill Sarty with 8.02lbs. Fourth, went to Jimmy Graham & Adam Russell with 8.11 lbs. Third place was held by the team of Cody Lohnes & Rob Weagle with 8.47lbs. The team of Scott Nickerson & Peter Ritchie brang a 9.62lb bag to the scales, good for second, as well as a 3.25lb smallie which would crack the lunker pool. Taking top honors at the Douglas Ingram's Construction Challenge was Mark & Millage Weare with a 10.12lb bag. With this tournament in the books, it would prove to shake up the standings in this years Veinottes Gone Fishing SSBM Team of the Year race, as well as the R.Meisner's Construction SSBM Total Lunker of the Year race. Check out the standings page for the new changes in positions. In August, SSBM will find itself back again in Lunenburg Co. for a second visit to Big Mush-a-Mush Lake.
