FRONT HARBOUR MARINE RUMBLE Big Mushamush #1 2006 - June 25th. The second stop on the 2006 SSBM tournament trail has been completed. The Front Harbour Marine Rumble took place on Lunenburg Co.'s Big Mushamush Lake. This lake has treated many anglers well in the past with many records being set and broken, this day would prove to be no different. The day preceding the tournament saw heavy rains as was the case for the majority of the tournament day with only slight overcast breaks. Although the weather was horrible, the fishing would prove quite consistent for most of the anglers with many 3lb fish being weighed and 10th place (Eric/Frank Himmelmen) would need an incredible 7.22 lbs just to place. With this in mind, a big bag of fish was needed to crack the top 5. In fifth place, was the team of Peter Lavender & Ken Minard with 8.99lbs. Second, went to Joey Feener & Darren Whalen with 9.91lbs. Third place was held easily by the team of Jimmy Graham & Adam Russell with 10.75lbs. From there on SSBM would see some shaking up of the record books. Second place went to Rhonda & Roland Brannen with a record 5 bag fish of 12.06lbs, a tremendous bag of fish! The Front Harbour Marine Rumble tournament would be claimed by the team of Cody Lohnes & Rob Weagle with another record breaking weight of 13.63lbs. The team also took the lunker pool of the day with a 4.37lb smallie. The Mush tournament lead to some changes in this years Veinottes Gone Fishing SSBM Team of the Year race. The next stop on the trail is in two weeks time on Queens Co.'s Ten Mile Lake.
